For the last 10 years Leigh has been working on projects and programmes to support the publication and use of open data. He has worked with small startups, large NGOs and the public sector as a freelancer and also in various roles at the Open Data Institute.
In these roles Leigh has advised on data strategy, developed open standards for data, drafted policies to support sharing and reuse of data and developed training materials and guidance to support technical and non-technical users. Prior to that he was leading engineering teams and developing data-enabled products and services.
