BBC

Paul Rissen is a Senior Information Architect within the BBC's User Experience & Design team, collaborating with R&D on an ad hoc basis. He worked with Siemens and the BBC on the early development of iPlayer in 2007, before joining the /programmes team in 2008-10.

Since then, Paul has been working on and researching the overlap between linked data, the semantic web, and narrative. This included work on the Mythology Engine; an internal project exploring the BBC's Archive by character and theme; Storybox; the Stories Ontology as well as assisting the Knowledge & Learning and News teams with their approaches to stories and the Web.
